Potential Rural Reserves, Clackamas County (2017)
Purpose
To display rural reserves, which are high-value rural taxlots that will not be considered for inclusion in metropolitan Portland's Urban Growth Boundary in the next 40-50 years. Intended for planners and residents of Clackamas County, Oregon.
Methodology
Taxlots were identified meeting the following criteria: at least one mile outside of the Urban Growth Boundary; rural, forest, or agricultural land use type; more than 25 acres in area; and no buildings. Cartographic techniques include bright colors to aid in visibility of small areas and clipping all layers to the county boundary.
